The My Chemical Romance star was found dead in her home at the age of 44.

The drummer of the American rock band My Chemical Romance has died at the age of 44, as reported by US media sources.

According to TMZ, Bob Brier was found dead at his residence in Tennessee. His cause of death has not yet been determined, and he was said to have been last seen on November 4.

Brier is considered to be the longest-serving member of Quai Chemical Romance and the last officially, serving as part of the band from 2004 to 2010.

He became acquainted with the band while serving as a sound technician for other rock acts that were on tour with My Chemical Romance, whose current lineup includes Ray Toro, Frank Iero, Mikey Way, and frontman Gerard Way.

Bryar provided drums for the 2006 rock opera album The Black Parade, and the lead single Welcome to the Black Parade played a significant role in cementing the band’s status as One of the most influential pop-punk groups of the 2000s.

His tenure with the band was plagued by a series of injuries, especially the third-degree burns he suffered during a fire while filming the music video for Famous Last Words in 2006.

A few weeks later, he was admitted to the hospital due to a staph infection, leading the band to cancel some performances.

His touring career faced another setback in 2008 when he found a lump the size of a golf ball on his wrist and experienced a loss of sensation in his fingers.

In spite of his diminished capacity to perform, Bryar remained with the band to assist with technical responsibilities, including managing the stage’s pyrotechnics. He departed from the band in 2010.

After leaving the music scene, Bryar devoted himself to dog rescue organizations and briefly explored a career in real estate.

According to TMZ, Animal Services visited his residence to find new homes for his two dogs after authorities became aware of his passing.

Last year, Bryar mentioned on Twitter, now known as X, that he had been facing difficulties with online negativity and his mental health, but he stated he was “mentally healthy… humbled, and ready to move forward” at that time.

As of Saturday night, current members of My Chemical Romance had not yet issued any comments regarding Bryar’s reported death.

The band is set to embark on a sold-out stadium tour across America next year to celebrate The Black Parade.
